The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that people are supported and encouraged to live a good independent life as a valued member of their household and community. In addition to supporting people with their daily living needs, you will be actively involved in supporting people to achieve their goals and aspirations.

What we offer:

All staff are supported through a professional development pathway and each year, together with their Team Lead, develop a personalised training and development plan which grows their skills and expertise.

Additional Specialised training is provided to increase understanding around Intellectual Disability, Mental Illness, Head Injury and Behaviour Support.

What we need from you:

 
  Staff at PATH Training

All staff are required to complete the CareerForce Level 2 Support Worker Qualification (as a minimum) and hold a current First Aid Certificate and are funded to do so. In addition they must always hold a Full New Zealand Drivers Licence. We use an electronic client database system, so you will need to be comfortable using a computer to enter notes, complete documents and send emails. You will need excellent written and spoken English, be able to work without supervision and keep calm even when juggling multiple priorities.
